Welcome
to South Beach! Have an authentic experience at our 1-bedroom,
1-bathroom condo housed within The Fountain, an exquisite, recently
rehabbed Art Deco building constructed in 1924 and listed on the
National Register of Historic Buildings.
Even better, The Fountain
is located in a safe, exclusive residential area just 2 blocks from
Miami Beach. You can soak up the energy of the beach and Ocean Drive,
then return at the end of the day to serenity in a secure, gated
property in a neighborhood setting. No car necessary-everywhere is
walkable from the condo. If you do want to bring a car, however, there
is a covered parking garage nearby, or you can talk to me (Wil) about
other available parking arrangements.
And our condo is a gem within
The Fountain, too. It has saturnia marble floors, a floor-to-ceiling
marble shower, a full kitchen outfitted with granite counters and
stainless steel appliances, and a leather futon for an extra guest (a
total of 3 can sleep comfortably here).
It's a great combination of
exotic and "feels like home"-close to the action yet distanced enough
that we can offer things like a peaceful dip in an uncrowded pool and a
great night's sleep (on a designer, queen-sized bed, no less).
My
wife and I love it here, and in fact, we live at The Fountain full-time
ourselves. That means we'll be nearby to answer questions and serve as
your local tour guides.
We understand that it takes a lot for our
guests to get here-packing, navigating unfamiliar places, spending hours
in a car or on a plane with no elbowroom and bad snacks. That's why we
aim to take away the hassle when you arrive. After all, visiting South
Beach is an experience. We want it to start off right.
Because we
live on the premises, we try to greet every guest. We also stock our
deep-cleaned condo with absolutely everything you need to be
comfortable, including:
" Beach gear like chairs, a cooler, and beach towels (less to lug around)
" Fresh linens
" Free high-speed internet
" 2 Smart TV's
" iPod docking system
" Laundry room with washer and dryer
" Leather futon bed that can fit another guest (for a total of 3)
You
really can't beat all of this for our low nightly rate. It's why our
guests often greet us with a smile and hug us before they leave. We hope

Description


MIAMI BEACH — High-end neighborhoods come and go, though few
swing from blighted status to the height of luxury living in just one decade.



But in Miami Beach just
about anything seems possible. There is no shortage of dreamers and
visionaries, and men with the tenacity to battle to the bitter end for what
they envision will play out — someday.



That’s what happened in the
South of Fifth Street neighborhood, where the city took on an ambitious German
real estate investor in the struggle to redefine an area that criminals and
castoffs had all but taken over.



Almost implausibly, South
of Fifth has emerged as the most expensive section of Miami Beach. A string of
high-rise condos along the water, which were at the center of the struggle over
the city’s development 15 years ago, are selling apartments for record prices.



Last
year, a penthouse at one of two Continuum towers sold for $25 million, then the
highest sale for an apartment in Miami Beach. In late December, a penthouse at
the neighboring Icon tower sold for just under $21 million, a record for a
bay-facing apartment in the city. A lower-rise 50-unit development, One Ocean,
has yet to start construction, but has only three apartments that are not
spoken for.



Today the area’s streets
are clean, the vagrants are gone and the lower-lying Art Deco buildings the
city fought to preserve by establishing a historic district have been upgraded.
More than a dozen restaurants, including several considered the most exclusive
in Miami Beach, have opened in the neighborhood, which is also home to the
18-acre South Pointe Park.

Directions to The Fountain Vacation Rentals

Once you leave Miami Airport stay in the left lane and continue East to

Douglas Rd. Turn right for about a mile until you get to the highway. Go under

the bridge and make a left turn and merge on to 836 East. Continue East and

merge on to 395 East on towards Miami Beach. Continue until you reach

Euclid Ave, make a right turn and pass 4th Street. 334 Euclid is in the middle

of the block on the right side.

arrival. There are extra fees for parking and reservations are necessary.
